About Oğuz

Oguz Kaan is Scientist I on the PBPK Product Development Team, having joined Simulations Plus in 2024. He plays a key role in testing and validating new versions of GastroPlus, while also contributing to client consultation projects and training.

Oguz earned his B.Pharm. degree with honors in 2021 from Istanbul University, Faculty of Pharmacy. After graduation, he worked as an assistant pharmacist in a community pharmacy for one year. He was awarded the Fulbright Master’s Degree Scholarship in 2022, with which completed his M.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Southern California, Mann School of Pharmacy, in 2024.

During his master’s degree, Oguz studied pharmacokinetics and PBPK modeling in Dr. Ian Haworth’s lab, contributing to the teaching of PBPK Modeling classes at USC, and assisting with GastroPlus workshops. He has presented his research at several conferences and published on PBPK modeling.

Outside of work, Oguz enjoys traveling, camping, cooking, and playing soccer. He is currently expanding his outdoor skills, with aspirations to take on winter camping and mountain climbing.
