About John
John Bartels is Vice President of Technology of the Immunetrics division of Simulations Plus. For more than 20 years he has led software development efforts at Immunetrics, including the creation of the Thales platform. John’s role sits at the intersection of the modeling and software teams; guiding the Immunetrics modeling philosophy, and designing and implementing the algorithms and modeling frameworks that underpin the Immunetrics models. He also invests considerable time in R&D initiatives for next-generation modeling technologies, aiming to maximize the scalability, efficiency, and clinical relevance of QSP projects. This work synthesizes concepts from dynamical systems, scientific computing, machine learning, and statistics. He has previously worked on modeling, simulation, and software engineering projects in both academia and industry covering a variety of domains, including applications to speech synthesis, radiation therapy, mathematical biology, and neuroscience. He holds an MS in Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh and a BS in Computer Science and Philosophy from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
