About Joan

Joan McNicholl, Pharm.D. is the Vice President of Commercial Accounts, Medical Communications, at Simulations Plus, Inc. With a passion for building and growing business in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, Joan brings over 15 years of diverse experience in medical affairs, product strategy, marketing and commercialization. She brings the client perspective to the business to help ensure and optimize strategic partnerships with clients and partners.

A clinical pharmacist by training, her industry experience covers multiple therapeutic areas, highlighting product launches across oncology/hematology, inflammation, nephrology, cardiology, and rare disease. Joan has extensive experience in strategic and product marketing, and commercialization.

Joan holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Illinois – Chicago, and currently resides in San Francisco where she enjoys running, eating out, going on holidays amongst other extra-curricular activities.
