About Maria
Dr. Munoz-Lopez joined Simulations Plus as a Mathematical Modeler in 2021. She is currently a Scientist in the Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) group. Her work involves predicting clinical efficacy in late-stage trials within the autoimmune and neurodegenerative domains.

Prior to joining Simulations Plus, Dr. Munoz-Lopez earned her Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and Computational Science at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on mathematical modeling of cell migration, and received a Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin.
