Lara Clemens, Ph.D.
Senior Scientist
Quantitative Systems Pharmacology
About Lara
Dr. Clemens’s current research is focused on developing the new Quantitative Systems Pharmacology/Toxicology modeling software, RENAsym, and advancing the established platform, DILIsym. She also works with the immunology team to develop mechanistic models of how the innate and adaptive immune systems play a role in drug-induced kidney and liver injury.
Prior to Simulations Plus, Dr. Clemens graduated with a Ph.D. in Mathematical, Computational, and Systems Biology from University of California, Irvine. In her graduate work, she developed computational models to assess how characteristics of intrinsically disordered proteins influence their binding kinetics, with a focus on the disordered signaling subunits of immunoreceptors. She received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Biochemistry from St. Lawrence University.
